Attractions for the 2 day Tsavo East Road safari from Mombasa
Physical attractions: Tsavo River, Yatta Plateau which is 300 km2, Mudanda Rock, Lugard’s Falls, Voi seasonal River and Aruba Dam.
Wildlife: elephant, lion, leopard, crocodile, waterbuck, kudu, gerenuk, zebra, Hunter’s Hartebeest etc. These 2 days Tsavo East road safari will enable you to meet the ‘Red Elephants’

Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East
Pick up from your hotel early in the morning, drive along Mombasa – Nairobi highway, just before entering the park, have a break of 20 minutes for coffee / tea or answering to short calls of nature. Then proceed to Bachuma gate of the Tsavo East national park. Enter for a straight game drive en-route to either Voi Wildlife lodge or Voi safari lodge for your lunch. After lunch, relax or have a swim till the time for afternoon game drive. Whilst on game drive in Tsavo East you have an opportunity of viewing the ‘Red Elephants’ of Tsavo, lions, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, giraffe and numerous species of wildlife. Visit Aruba dam, where a number of aquatic birds could be seen. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Amboseli
Early morning game drives till 0800hrs. Check out and proceed to Amboseli national park. In the Amboseli national park you view the breathtaking mount Kilimanjaro which stand at 19,340 ft. The mountain forms an awesome backdrop for your photos. Have a game drive until lunch hour then proceed to Kibo safari lodge for lunch. After lunch relax until 1600hrs time for the afternoon game drive. In Amboseli Park you will have a chance of seeing the big five and birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Kibo safari lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West
Wake call early morning. A brief game drives up to 0800hrs. Return for full breakfast. After breakfast check out and depart for Tsavo West national park. – View the “Shetani” lava flow, game again en-route to Mzima springs and then proceed for lunch at either Ngulia or Kilaguni Serena lodge. After lunch relax until 1600hrs time to visit the rhino sanctuary. After gaming return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Tsavo West – Taita Hills Saltlick
Depart from the lodge at 0700hrs after full breakfast, game en-route to Taita hills saltlick lodge with the wildlife dotting the plains Taita Hill Saltlick lodge. In the sanctuary you will have a chance of viewing the lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, and many more plains game. Have lunch at Taita Saltlick lodge. After lunch relax up to 1600hrs time for the afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Taita Hills Saltlick – Mombasa
Early morning game drive. Depart from the lodge at 0800hrs after your breakfast. Game after breakfast returning back to Mombasa and finally to your beach resort.
